Mendo Maya Waiba

“Meet Mendo Maya Waiba — a bright and innocent 14-year-old girl from Nepal whose life was turned upside down by a rare skull-base tumor called Clival Chordoma. She needs urgent and very expensive Proton Beam Therapy abroad to survive. Her family is doing everything they can, but they can’t cover the cost alone. Treatment Details

For the past seven years, Mendo Maya Waiba has been fighting Clival Chordoma with extraordinary courage. She has already undergone four major surgeries — the first one seven years ago, the second one sixteen months ago, and two more recent surgeries to remove the recurring tumor. Despite these operations, the tumor continues to return, and further surgery is no longer enough to save her life. Doctors have now recommended Proton Beam Therapy in India, the only treatment with a real chance to stop the tumor from growing again and protect her brainstem, vision, and ability to live a normal life. This therapy is urgent, highly specialized, and very expensive, and her family cannot afford it without support.
